income taxe software

Post by Austin Power »

Hi guys,

I need some help for my income taxes. Am working overseas and am looking for some advice for a software to do my Canadian income taxes abroad. I just need a basic one and not to expensive. Am looking at Intuit Canada “quiktaxweb”, any comment about that one?

Any help will be great!

Not sure about Quicktax but I have used Taxwiz for the last couple of years and it's pretty easy to use with forms for all the different slips including the all-important-in-aviation T4E.

The software costs $25. Available online at http://www.taxwiz.ca and at stores.

Thanks for the help flying low.

Looks like to be alright. The only problem, I tried to download the one for 25$ but I have a cookies problem. I looked at my computer and he is set to receive all cookies, but still, he doesn’t want to download the “taxwiz” program. Any ideas or suggestions on that problem related to the cookies would be cool.

The computers those days are just like dogs, if you don’t give them the right cookies they just don’t want to obey to you anymore!

Hehe, Austin, I know what you're going through!

Try using a program other than internet explorer, such as netscape or Mozilla... I've found that can solve some problems. Also, make sure that your Internet explorer is up to date via microsoft's website.

Austin

I use MS Internet Explorer and when it's blocking any cookies it shows an eye with a do not enter sign along the bottom status bar towards the right side side.

If you have this showing up then your browser is blocking cookie(s). Double left click on this icon and it will open a window listing the sites that the blocked cookies are coming from. If you right click on any of these listed sites a menu will come up letting you set the browser to accept cookies from the site. Once you change this you will have to close and reopen your browser.

Hope this helps.
