How does the aviation industry get past federal and provincial labor codes?
Overtime, min wage etc.

Every young pilot knows that the first 8 years you fly for fun and to log hours, you don't need to get paid because when you reach the airlines they'll throw buckets of money at you and that justifies working for peanuts early on.

BTW Mik, where do you work? I want to send your boss a letter telling him how I can do the job for half your wages because I just want the experience and I just love to fly :mrgreen:






But seriously, pilots do it to themselves, if one company pays a fair wage, they get under cut by the other company with slave pilots. The fair cannot survive (few exceptions) in this industry.

Hi, new poster of opinions but I couldn't help it on this one. Recently saw ad in Aero Ads for a rotary pilot willing to work for free for one year for a company that will let them fly
