Air Partner Co-Pilot
Was this ad serious or maybe a typo? 2500 hours to sit right seat in a King Air?!
Re: Air Partner Co-Pilot
Probably not. They may want 3000-3500 for Left seat. Depends its what the client wants. We've Seen 2500TT for left seat in a Navajo, so nothing surprises me anymore.
Re: Air Partner Co-Pilot
Isn't a 2500TT with ATPL F/O just going to bolt as soon as things pick up and he can go left seat on something at another company?
Why not hire a 500 hour pilot who will likely stick around for at least a few years...

Re: Air Partner Co-Pilot
I was just laughing at this ad myself.
2500TT and an ATPL to sit right seat in a 200?
I sure hope they pay well!

No Hawker, no more.

he successful candidate will be expected to work a 14/4 rotation whereby fourteen (14) days are “on-call” duty followed by four (4) days off.
I'd never say that I was too good for anything, but perhaps I don't quite hate myself enough.altiplano wrote:

Hey guys,
There is obvisouly a reason why they want to hire a guy with 2500 hours, areason that we don t know and yeah it frustrates a lot of us but sooner than later the economy will pick up and we ll have once again those 500 hours cojoe required hopefully...

I'd rather see that job posting then not seeing a job posting at all.

Exactly hiring of any kind is good these days, and might be a great opportunity for a guy who wants to move to Civilization and perhaps move onto a Turbine from a ho etc.
A few years ago 2500 and your ATPL would only get you a look for a Navajo job.

Re: Air Partner Co-Pilot
Yes I agree this is a very very very good opportunity. We should be all be happy they aren't including Ramp duties with this. You get to be an F/O on a King Air 200, you get to be on call for 14 days in a row, you get to pay for your training, and you only need 2500 hours and an ATPL. No ramp though!

Re: Air Partner Co-Pilot
Ouch.....Whatever... I'm guessing there are a more than a few guys out there who will fit into this opportunity and the HR person won't have to weed through 250 resumes from 1000 hour instructors with zero real operational experience...
If Doc or me said that we would be fried here.

The most difficult thing about flying is knowing when to say no.
After over a half a century of flying I can not remember even one trip that I refused to do that resulted in someone getting killed because of my decision not to fly.

Re: Air Partner Co-Pilot
What's the big deal, it's their airplane, they decide what experience they want. If somebody wants a 172 driver with 5000 hours that's their choice, of course they would have to pay very well
. Who are we to decide what is an acceptable hour requirement?
it's funny because it's true, on both statements.

Re: Air Partner Co-Pilot
Impossible to get "real operational experience" these days...you need a 1000 hours to get onto a Navajo! Gotta start filling out the logbook somehow, and at the moment instructing seems the only way!
Re: Air Partner Co-Pilot
Air Partners... they own Canadian Flyers, too, don't they? Is this for their medevac operation in Manitoba?
Re: Air Partner Co-Pilot
Where are they flying to most of the time? I never hear or see their jets flying, is it really slow over there?
