Weren't all the U206s supposed to be refitted with the door that could be opened with the flaps deployed?

Looks like the water rudders are in the down position...........I'm not a float pilot but i do know that's bad on landing or takeoff.

Leaving water rudders down for take-off is no big deal in my experience. They just ride up and skip along the water anyway once you speed up. I use to do it intentionally just to see if there was any advantage. But it was always a case of beer if someone caught you.

The ones I've seen refitted have the pair of doors changed so they overlap differently. This enables you to still open the front of the pair fully and the rear one slightly as to still be able to egress the opening if the flaps were deployed. The rear of the doors still must be opened first, but in the old set up, when the flaps were down, couldn't be sufficiently opened to free the front of the two doors.
