CAP floats

Post by northwings »

Wondering if anyone here might know the fully assembled width of a set of CAP 2000 floats. I need to fit them in my garage this winter and am hoping they'll fit through the door without having to pull 'em apart. Thanks.

Upper valley Aviation over in BC has a set for sale! Might want to give them a call and ask them for the dimensions. I've dealt with them a couple of times and they're nice folks and extremely helpful!

Thanks Bullet, but I guess that i'll just wait and measure it myself. My plane is sitting beside a lake about an hour and a half away. Although i will be back there eventually to pick it up, i was just hoping maybe someone might know off the top of their head.

Thanks Mag Check, i'm hoping that once i remove them from my plane i'll be able to get them through my garage door. Maybe if i grease up the door and take a good run at it they'll slip right in.

You can always take them apart, it's a good idea to have a look around for corrosion on the fittings and spreaders anyway.
