Homliest Aircraft!
I noticed there were alot of replies to favorite aircraft flown, now what is the ugliest aircraft!! Remember be Kind!!!
The ugliest in my opinion is the Wilga a.k.a. "the Iron Butterfly", it is either Czeck. or Polish.
I am presently looking for photos.

There is no such thing as an ugly airplane. Now, ugly pilots...not a looker in the bunch.
And the correct answer to the question really is...
ANY PLANE WITH YO MOMMA ON BOARD.

I've got lots of ugly time, I fly both Fugro's Casa 212, and the Dash-7, also used to fly the Skyvan.
The reason the right engine is feathered on that skyvan shot is cause the meathead skydivers had to climb out the hatch over the co-pilots seat. Not that I'd ever consider doing it, but I'd want both feathered before I'd climb on top of it in the air. I've been on top of the airplane on the ground with both running, and those props seem REALLY close.
The ugliest airplane ever has to the the Trislander, particularily the abortion Questor surveys modified. I know it's dear to a few people but...

When it fell out of the ugly tree, it hit every single branch.

Pilatus Turbo-Porter.
I was waiting at Toronto Island once, and some guy was there with a demonstrator. He was telling me how it would out-perform the Turbo Beaver, yadda, yadda. I observed that the thing looked like the crate the Turbo Beaver came in. He quit talking to me after that.

It's only ugly until you fly it. When I first saw it years before I actually flew it (around 2000 hrs worth) I not only thought it was ugly but also that there had to be something wrong with it aerodynamically because of all things sticking out of it.Inverted2 wrote:The Beech 1900D is pretty ugly too with all the stuff they put on the tail to make it fly right!
As it turns out it was a great performer and it kept bringing me back alive, like I said around 2000 hours worth.
