The population growth of the chronic, non-working segment of society is spiraling upward rapidly, while the working middle class taxpayers that are supporting this group is shrinking. What quality of life is ahead for the next generations at this rate? Government programs created this problem; they have to be the ones to cure it. We can’t just bury our heads in the sand and hope the problem goes away. It is getting worse.

well nature shows that this happens anyway. survival of the fittest...The human population will only hit a max of 12 Billion I remember reading, due to the fact we cannot afford to use that many resources to keep the population growing past this number.

Our kids are pretty certain to live with food and water until old age, I don't know what the rate is in Sudan or another African countries but I doubt over 40% or 30% of kids reach adulthood. We as humans are selfish, yes it would be great to feed everyone on earth (thats what our government here in the west say) But we need to secure ourselves first. No point giving ALL the food out and sharing it, then afterwards all the resources are exhausted and everyone is starving.

... OK, so we kill off anybody over lets say .... 65 as a top end just for now......that gives me a little longer on this orb so I can wrap up my personal affairs, make a couple of hundred more posts to AvCanada, and besides ..... introduction of a concept like this needs to be done in stages.

First start with old farts over 65 that use up resources, collect pensions, use Medicare, clog up hospital beds, worst of all .. tell old person jokes to their grandchildren like " What did the dog say when it sat on some sand paper? .... Ruff, Ruff."

Then sneak the age down to maybe 55 so that the government can confiscate all that investment wealth from the "Freedom 55" crowd, then kill 'em off before they can buy that condo on the beach in Florida. After all, they were way too forward thinking when they were young, putting away a couple of hundred a month and letting compound interest do the work. They didn't blow enough of their money on booze, fast cars, fast women, and weed.

Then move things down to around 40 in one fell swoop due to a manufactured crisis ... given the rise in conspiracy theory wierdos that think 9-11 was an inside job, there shouldn't be any difficulty in starting something where a revolution takes place over food and water supplies being hoarded by those "elderly folks" remaining in the population.

Yes, I believe the government does cause a lot of our problems. It does not appear to be run by the will of the people any more (or at least not the working people). Social programs that don't encourage people to work, creating generations of non-working scum. Bailouts, when in the real world, a failed business would go down and probably be taken over by someone that could make a go of it. I love paying taxes to support all of this crap. We need less government, not more. Dirty Lib, Socialist? Not remotely. I am for neutering some of those puppies the government created. Harsh enough?
