What a/c type are you planning on bringing in?

yep - that's it - I know they've done recent work on the strip there and was hoping to see more recent photos - just of general layout, obstacle information, etc.

Donald

Looking to take a Be20 in and out of there from time to time - We've done performance numbers and so forth, and plan on doing so at restricted weight, etc.

Any recent photos would be greatly appreciated - Perhaps some of the folks at North-Wright might have something?

regards,

If you contact North-Wright for information, make sure to take it with a grain of salt. They've been known to give false information, so as to solicit your business. I remember them telling a company operating a PC-12 that the strip was unsuitable, due to the sandy base and their a/c tire size. They took over the charter using a B-99, and promptly got stuck.

A friend of mine working on the new airport project - he advises the most recent news was that trees were being cleared at the new site. Can't imagine any change at the existing airport, though. I have a few pics from last year I could provide.

if you could forward them to me that would be great - or even post them on here would do as well. Am just wondering if there are obstacles off the both ends of the runways - I remember taking off RWY 28 out over the lake, but don't recall whats off the end or RWY10.

Thanks

The end of 10 has rising terrain...its a fairly gentle rise but in some aircraft on a hot day you need to peel off toward the lake and flat ground. If you're climbing out of 10 and stay low longer than you should you may run into some terrain rising steeper a couple miles off.

Not sure about a -200, if you have to use every inch of runway cause of weight and snow and THEN lose an engine it could be a little dicey but I doubt it.

Any good shots on Google Earth?

just watch the crosswinds and turbulance on windy days on the approach
over the lake as your probably must be right on ref speed to get in with that bird

if its more than 15knts on the ice n snow runway it will be a interesting ride , be safe . 8)

no need for a reduced load with a 200. use 85 or 80 as a ref you'll be fine.
