I actually applied for this, and shouldn't be sharing it, but since I haven't Crop Spayed, ( oops that should read Sprayed for WJ busdrivers who cannot extrapolate ) since 1973, I figure there's about as much chance of me walking on the moon. ( Not the Moon Walk - I can still do that.)

Best hands and feet I ever flew with was a former spray guy.

That's one of the best application jobs, best money and one of the best guys you can work for on the Canadian prairies. Ya gotta have the mind, stamina and basic foot and rudder skills to go along with it though. If ya don't know what something as simple as Malathion is, well maybe just go work the dock in La Ronge for the summer. If ya grew up on a farm for 20 years, well maybe ya have a chance. Idiots and inexperienced folks should stay away.

I have to admit, so of the best fun I've had has been going back n' forth. I miss flying taildraggers. Good money during the summers, but you need something else to do during the winter. Not a real time builder. 250 hours is a really busy summer.

Been out of it now for over 10 years as my office is an A320. Still know people in the biz.

As stated in other posts, you should really have some experience around a farm operation as it would really help. I believe now it is mandatory to take a aerial applicator's flying course. It wasn't back in the 90's. My employer sent me down to Georgia to an ag school. 3 weeks of really good hands on flying. If you can learn to spray down there (40 acre fields with 150 Georgia Pines ringing the field), you can do it up here. My instructor was a retired U.S. Navy Commander who flew off carriers for 30 years. We became good friends and we stayed in contact up to a few years ago.
