Obama's cancellation of moon landings is a case of 'No we can't', not 'Yes we can'

I wonder if that sad piece of coiled, steaming, excrement has ever toured the Kennedy Space Center, and sensed the inspiration and greatness of all that happens there. If so, he and his entourage probably felt greater empathy for the discomfort of the wildlife that are frightened by a launch, more than the excellence of all the people involved in the space program.

With Obama being a former cocaine user, I have no doubt he would have met with many who would hang out at safe injection sites though.

Yet another travesty by the Obama "Yes we can! zombies."

Don't bug me this morning,

The last moon program it was a Democratic Administration that got America to the Moon and a Republican one that killed it. I've been to the KSC and seeing that Saturn V that just needed to be filled with LOX and RP-1 to become Apollo 18 just floored me.

The trouble is, NASA was never good at inspiring the average viewer. I mean, I get a hard on just shooting a bottle rocket into the air. Firing something with millions of pounds of thrust with someone in it riding to beyond the atmosphere should be 1000 times better.

But look at this. I seriously had to force myself Clockwork Orange style to watch it all. You'd think that with everything choreographed that they could have spent a few more thousand on getting a symphony orchestra building suspense to get us through the boring parts. And get the Shamwow guy to do the commentary. Survivor is way above this for reality TV.

So, I wonder how many disheartened Professional Engineers will be quitting NASA now that there is nothing for them to do thanks to Barrack Hussein Obama .... this strongly reminds me of Diefenbaker cancelling the Arrow Project.

When "Dief The Chief" passed away and his body was on display for public viewing, I took a shift as a part of the Honour Guard as he lay in state before being buried.

I recall looking over at him, and thinking ... "You bastard, ...... you cut off Canada's Aerospace Industry at the knees, and I'm supposed to respect you? ... Good luck."

Supposedly those great engineering minds that had been counting on playing their part in launching a man to the moon and beyond will be doing something really challenging in their unemployment ..... like designing a solar collector to heat some hotel swimming pool or maybe hit the real big time of "New Green Jobs" and help design a windmill.

Oh, yippeee.

Oh yes, of course. If only we could have George W Bush back in office. Selective memories seem quite predominant here.

Look here Fog, Ithink I've established my creds as a Bush man many many times. But intellectually I think you are wrong about this one. Barry the Bomber is actually INCREASING NASA's budget by a coupla billion I think. But with no repeat do it again same ol same ol moon launch the science we can do with that money will be so much more. Actually I expect the engineering crowd will see this as a net positive. Certainly anyone who wants to do serious solar system SCIENCE will see this as a plus. Yes I'd love to see man on Mars, though I expect the cosmic ray dose of a roundtrip would kill them all, but the Moon is not MArs. Hate to say it, but I think BArry maybe got this one right. Times are tough you know? Especially if your'e not retired yet. Lets let the independent companies have a chance at this. The only way we will ever get man into space to stay is if it's profitable, or exploitable anyway.

The lengthy interview I listened to this morning with Captain Eugene Cernan wasn't very complimentary about canceling the Constellation Project, so I can only hope you are correct on this one Stinson. I'm in agreement that the program is very expensive, and times are tough.

However, something tells me that once again, Barry's gang have failed to get it right.

I'd be happy to think my instincts about the sleazy, snake-oil salesmen, and rainmakers of the Obama administration are incorrect and be able to compliment him on doing at least a single thing right ... for the first time.
