Any ideas as to what AC is going to do with their First Class cabin configuration and seating style on the Dreamliner. Is it going to be something new like how EK and SA introduced suites aboard the A380 or are they going to keep their existing First Class product?
Cheers

Re: AC First Class on the Dreamliner
Air Canada does not currently sell a First Class cabin, only Business Class and Economy. I expect it will be the same as the current XM configuration with individual sleeper suites.
Standby for new atis message

And yes, I figured they would be like AF and do nothing spectacular with their new bird. But it would be nice if they came out with something new... but then again, it's only a 787

Re: AC First Class on the Dreamliner
What ground work will AC do prior to this new equipment going into service? To give you an idea as to the risk, just look at the fuselages of our recent new arrivals and think of how they have been treated.
Not an easy task for airlines when AA's take the position " the gates and their associated equipment is not owned or operated by the AA but rather by suppliers and users of such equipment". (That's why even at the new YVR facilities you see u/s equipment, supposedly awaiting warranty repairs, replaced by portable power units, owned by AC)
What we have here is something akin to looking in the reflection of a mirror from a mirror; government creating non governmental entities which act like a government by taking in money and suggesting they in return provide services. When there's an issue, the misunderstanding is explained as, we only provide the organization of those services and someone else is really responsible.
Hopefully someone will address the problem of gate damage to fuselages before this plane arrives in service.
