Spoilers UP Take Off Run B767

Post by privateer »

I am sure this is aileron input but I don't think I would have taken off in this shit storm.

I'm sure this is blah blah blah
1-learn to spell. Firefox is free and guess what? it has a little feature, well, go on, down load it and find out. Maybe explorer has it too, but who cares.
2....never mind, no fun kicking in an open door. Only on reno 911.

I seem to recall something about wind and controls in the 76 manual or 73 or or Boeing.....phew, glad these guys survived or what?!
Geez, maybe they even derated! (ok, geez and derated are not included in the spelling checker, fair enough) Did they use V1wet?

so can this be moved to aviation humour and can we have some fun? Can we? Huh?
(yes, I like 'Scrubs' too! :))

Yes...the spoiler outboard of the inboard aileron is up in this video. No big deal. I took off in the RJ from PHL earlier today with a gusty crosswind that required full left yoke for part of the roll to keep the the left wing down. The spoileron on the left wing as well as the left aileron would have been up.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the inboard spoiler is partially up as well. And it does look like a bit of a long run, but maybe there were other factors... like flying into a shitticane!

This post is almost incomprehensible. While I agree with the pro-spelling content, I cannot tell if I would agree with any of the rest of it. Maybe it should be removed to "aviation humour", even though it's not particularly funny.

I had full deflection to the left on a x-wind takeoff today, yet left wing lifted up first thanks to my pleasantly plump pax on the right side of the plane. (front, middle and back) FML

I also got to use the phrase, "I understand m'am but (the owner) isn't flying this airplane, I am"

I have never seen such a crazy take off in a B767 before. That looks nuts! But hey, I wasn't the Captain making the decisions.

Nothing unusual here. It was a normal crosswind takeoff. The spoilers do come up to assist in roll control.Thats all part of the normal flight control functions.

I have no idea what this post is supposed to mean. It looks to me like you are berating someone for poor spelling, however, your grammar and punctuation leaves MUCH to be desired so don't throw stones in a glass house.

*yawn.* Neat video. I love looking out the window. Was there supposed to be anything remarkable about it?

Well, I guess at least some of the passengers survived, or maybe that camera was rescued from the wreckage?

Why not do a little research before instead of an uneducated post?

You can't take off 'derated' (RPTO) or flex on a contaminated runway.

Helluva long takeoff roll, and I noted a very bright flash of light at the 1:01 mark... lightning? As for the aileron, that's a good thing. It means the large metal tubular thingy has a better chance at staying on that runway thingy in order to go fly fly. ;)

It was only a matter of time before the pompous entered the thread with demeaning arrogance. :prayer:
