If you where a pilot looking for a start up north, I'd paste your resume to one of these lovelies...
But more seriously...
The first thing I'd want to draw a prospective employers attention to would be any customer service experience I have. Eg, worked the customer service desk at Sears/Honda/Best Western/Dr Office Ft desk etc what ever the place. In the cover letter, can you describe any situations where you had to demonstrate leadership in a tense situation with a customer? (aka guy brought his car in for an oil change and the lot boy backed his car into a pole and you had to deal with the angry guy). Can you handle a tense situation, or better yet, can you stay calm in an emergency?
Then I'd want to see if you had any safety courses eg, WHIMIS, First Aid (have you ever been life guard?) etc.
Skills and interests... do they show you being somewhat coordinated and physically fit, you'll dealing with fatigue crossing time zones, you'll have to balance walking down the aisle in turbulence. Have you ever been involved in gymnastics, rock climbing, dance etc?
Do you have the type of personality that can smile when everyone else is cranky?
And most importantly, can you shoot a biscuit onto a tray from 30'?

If you laughed at my lame joke, you have the right personality to deal with passengers, and worse yet, pilots, if my joke offended you... seek another career path
Have you applied to any Northern Airlines? If FA jobs are like pilot jobs, its easier to get inside the industry if you start up north.
Best luck out there!
