just wondering if anyone has some accurate numbers on fuel burns in pounds per hour for the citation excel and lear 45.(i.e) first hour, second hour and so on. also what is a typically used altitude for a 3hr. flight. i've heard the lear will go straight to 45,000 but can't find anything on the excel.and what are actual true airspeeds versus book speeds.

Don't have the book in front of me for the Excel, but you can plan on 20-22 minutes to FL410 @ 20,000lbs @ ISA. I use 18,700lbs @ ISA or colder before climbing above 410, however I've found the only real good reason for going above 410 is for ride. Your burns do drop slightly, but you can accomplish the same thing by pulling back the power a bit rather than wasting your time climbing and the airplane isn't overly happy up higher. The long range performance charts give better numbers at 380 and 390 than higher.
Mmo is .75, and you can plan .745 (415-425kts) which is achievable right up to 450, again weight and temperature dependent at cruise power. If its hot (ISA +10) at 410 generally you'll level at .68 and at the end of the first hour it'll settle in at .72-.73 and you'll be reducing power after that to maintain speed.
Plan 1700 the first hour and 1200 an hour after that. Longest leg I've flown was just shy of 5 hours, Calgary dct Cabo, landing with 1500 lbs of fuel, all flown at 400.
The plane carries 6790lbs of fuel, empty weight is generally around 12,200-12,400lbs and MTOW is either 20,000 or 20,200 depending on if you've got the up gross on it or not.
