C208 First Officer?
Saw Cargojet's ad, and noticed they mention FO's for the C208. I was under the impression you couldn't log any time as FO in a Caravan, being a single pilot airplane.. Or is this up to the individual company's SOPs to run it 2-crew and you could log the time?

If the COM states that it's to be flown two crew then you can log the time. If you're using the time towards your ATPL then you need a letter from the company stating that an FO was required as per COM.

It was my understanding that as of the new year (2010) the Caravans at Cargojet were to be flown SPIFR. Was it tried and decided 2 crew was the better way to go?

If this is the case, then its more likely the contract that requires 2 crew than the company. And in answer to your question, yes you can log it as long as the COM states it and your company has SOPs approved for that particular aircraft by TC. We even used to run our C310 with 2 crew as the contract required it. We got SOPs approved by TC and we were all set.cdnpilot77 wrote:It was my understanding that as of the new year (2010) the Caravans at Cargojet were to be flown SPIFR. Any word from the July 30th Deadline?
The only time you have too much fuel, is when you crash.
