No. Since 9/11, the rules have changed regarding the use of jet transport catagory training devices for people without valid airline employment (background checks, ect).

Unfortunetely, it has to be with the airline who leases, rents or owns the sim. There are some companies in the US that run type-rating courses geared more for people in the Southwest Airlines pool. You may have to enroll and complete their class though, which could cost upwards of $10,000. I would give them a call and inquire as to the exact specifics and legalities or your question.

You can check out the Air Academy in Calgary. They run an ALSIM200 simulator that you can renew your IFR in. Best jet they can do is a Citation but it could be better than nothing. The price would be reasonable too. www.theairacademy.com
