why are you buying shares? Are you interested in Capital Gains or Dividends?

If any of those, then skip the carriers by all means...my 2 cents

Pick up some Tahera Diamond shares (TSX index -TAH) I'm expecting big things from this one over the next year.

Well, your concerns regarding your financial investments are certainly valid ones. First, I recommend taking your money and putting it in a shoebox under your bed. That is the only way no one will get a hold of it. Next, take a frying pan and give yourself a few moderate blows to the head for even thinking about investing in the aviation industry.

The future lies in soy...buy soy and the coccoa bean.

Very good advice...Don't listen to the shoebox thing though, inflation will do the trick.

If I was still at EADS, I would recommend you buy preferred corporate shares. this way, I could get a healthy bonus! :D Oups, last part was meant to be thought but not written...But for the sake of humor, I will not use the Backspace button, nor the Edit button to correct this social faux pas!

Is Cargojet public? I'd buy shares in them if I could.

As a general rule, when you hear of a boom, it's probably to late to invest anyway.

Same rule applies to bombs or angry wives...

Westjet was a great buy when it dipped below 11$ when they came out with there first reported loss since being in service. When it jumped up to what it is now (15-16 range) because of Jetsgo going under..you missed that ship. It might go up a couple of bucks but nothing really worth investing unless you alot of money and can flip it fast.

Honestly, if you want to invest in aviation companies, why not look at Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics or even Boeing. There is a war on and more wars coming your way (good times) . Be sure to sell though if it looks like the Democrats might retake the White House.
