Re: volcanic
You will find them on SIG Wx charts. It is an isosceles trapezoid, 3 little lines coming out the top and a dot on the bottom line of the trapezoid.
Kowalski: Sir, we may be out of fuel.
Skipper: What makes you think that?
Kowalski: We've lost engine one, and engine two is no longer on fire.

Duck,
You can find it in the AIM, in the appendices of the MET section (3.13-(L))
Appended below you can see the symbol being used as part of a Volcanic Ash (VA) Advisory, with explanation of how it relates to the textual product. However, this came from a Australian-NZ product that was part of their VA awareness program.
If you're really curious, you can also save this link for the next time Iceland's volcano shoots off a load of ash into the air.

If you check out their products you'll see the volcano symbol for not only Iceland, but also Mt Etna down in Sicily, who is regularly active. Last big one was 2006. However, it's plume tends to go down over Africa, so not much European disruption.

Zed,
I know all about that too, but thanks for the extra info, everything helps to those who need to know. That link works but this is the one I always use.
