You're a bit late to the party. I believe it was all a hoax.

Was that the deal with them?

I got a call from someone as well a couple weeks back.

I hoped for the best but it definitely set off my BS meter.
Their website made promises about their route network and airplanes that you could drive an 18-wheeler thru.

I hadn't read anything about how they figured it out on them.
Hopefully whomever perpetuated this hoax will go back to the rock from under which he came.

I thought these guys were a hoax, but one of my flight school buddies was called about going to FO class next week.

They said he'd start in the Jetstream, but upgrade to Captain would be rapid.

The website is still pretty slim:

Any more thoughts? Are they for real?

Transport doesn't have them listed as an approved air operator. So even if they do 'exist,' they're not flying. Not yet anyways. Hopefully your friend keeps his money until this 'airline' takes off.

My friend noted salary was low, I want to say in 30k range for FOs, give or take a bit. Not sure what Captains are at, but the upgrade was quick, if you have the time, as they're looking at expanding a lot.

On the "positive?" side - no bond or training costs were mentioned.

Are they the ultimate "stealth" operation? Could they have paperwork in the certification process? They don't have any infrastructure.

Anybody else know anything more about these guys?

If you look carefully at the webpage it makes reference to the Jetstream 41 and the EMB 120.

Why would any startup company want to use J31/32's, J 41s and also E 120's????

Can you imagine the infrastructure needed to keep that afloat???

Its a company probably invented by a 16 year sitting behind a computer trying to feel important.

But then again.............take a look at its website. A 'splash' page that offers no information about them but wants you to send them a detailed record of yourself. Do they even have an AOC?

Far too many questions and no answers from this company.

Or the 16 year old doesn't know you need to hire a Director Of Maintainance before you hire line AME's........

For what it's worth I know the for sure they are in the process of buying at least two or three Jetstream 31 and possibly a Jetstream 32. I cannot confirm the J41 or EMB120, although if they are buying a 41 it would be the first one in Canada. I've been told they are looking at an early Oct. launch. I suppose it is possible they have applied for the AOC and AMO certificate and are waiting for approval. I wonder if they're part of a bigger parent company or something, seems like they've got a lot of financial backing to be able to get all these aircraft and personnel put together so quickly.

I don't think there is anyone currently operating a Jetstream 41 in Canada but definately not the first one in Canada, if it happens. Air Atlantic operated them in the day.

Air Atlantic operated 5 J 41s from 1995 until 1998.

I just had a terrible thought. What if its Ken Rowe? That would be funny.

Interesting, I didn't realize there were J41's in Canada before, thanks for telling me. Has anyone actually applied to this company? It shouldn't take long to see if it's a real company or not, I doubt some "16 year old kid" would actually talk to you on the phone, and a company wouldn't have much credibility if they wouldn't actually talk to you.

Also, who is Ken Rowe? I know a Ken Rowe but he sells cars in Ontario so I doubt it's the same guy as I'm thinking of.

Ha. Airline management and (used) car salesman, seems about right to me.

(I know nothing about ECA)

Not so far fetched. Google "Martin Halstead".

Its probably not a 16 year old trying to start this thing up but you would almost think so by looking at the way they are going about it.

The webpage asks for your resume' which is a record of your life (so to speak) but the webpage also offers virtually no information about themselves. No contact info........names, phone numbers, addresses, fax etc.

Do they have a DFO or CP or even an AOC?

Do they have anything????

Has anyone heard any more info about these guys lately, if they got their OC or even any planes yet??

I guess there's a groundschool starting up sometime in the next week or so from what I keep hearing....

Will be interesting to see these guys starting up and competing with AC on the Jazz/Georgian routes on the East Coast.

Its quite the convoluted shift of companies names and OC's. Integra Air in Lethbridge will now be operated under Bar XH. Integra Air will be transferred out east to operate East Coast Airways. And I believe Alberta City Link is operating something else out east as well
