That, looked like one crew who was very lucky not to get wet.... Hovering over water, particularly away from shore like that, is not a good way to do things. The downwash from that particular helicopter is very intense and the pilots could easily have lost reference due to the spray, and judging height above the water is very difficult in those circumstances. It's not hard to see how he loses it, but a good pull on the collective seems to have saved the day. I'd like to hear a tape of the intercom...
