PPC question...

Post by pogeypilot »

I have this King Air PPC that is supposed to be good until March 1, 2006(according to the expiry date on the card). I did my ride in February of 2004, hence it is a 2 year PPC. I haven't flown the plane in 7 months so I didn't do my "in lieu" training before the first year was up. Is this PPC expired or will a simple company check do?? Thanks.

You'ld have to check your COM to be sure, but usually you have to to the training within 90 days prior to the expiory of the 1 year. After Mar 1, 2005 in your case, you no longer had a PPC.

I.J. is correct. Your PPC has lapsed. You will need a recurrent. If the PPC has lapsed for two years or more, you'll need another initial.
