This probably is the first ad I've seen looking for an AME which actually hits most of the right points with me.

Besides the usage of the overused/cheesy "teamplayer" "vision" terms, and my personal preference of wanting to see $40ish an hour offered, they've actually spent a good portion of their ad describing what they will offer/do for you, where every other ad just lists long lists of what they want. How refreshing.

I never worked for Superior, nor have I have I even heard of them before, so I'm not endorsing them, but if I was in the market, and I didn't hate Navajos, I would probably send in a resume just based on their ad.

Sweet Jeebus...... did I just say something mostly positive with regards to this biz..???

Up to 35$/hour seems pretty good for a small outfit flying navajos.

I agree the posting is very well done, whoever posted it seems to have a good idea on how to attract good candidates, maybe a company with an HR department?

I agree its a well written add. Not by some over educated university graduate HR person who has never worked a real job in their lives.

I agree with longjon and BPF, seems like the ad was written by a person who has actually worn the coveralls and had their hands dirty.

We're sorry you don't sound like task-oriented, self-starting team players. I don't believe our organization could come forward with any synergies with you. We'll have to vet some more human resources.

Damn ! And I was sure my praoctive approach to maximizing the enterprise value while embracing the corporate vision going forward made me the ideal candidate to augment a right sized profit centre.

You want $40\hr for a non-management position with a company flying 4 aircraft? That is the second most greedy statement regarding AME wages next to the guy who wanted half a million to be crew chief for the OPP, which operates only 3 planes.

Are you saying one must be in management with at least 4+ a/c to earn $40 a/hr?
I have made/make that much doing light automotive repairs in my home shop. I already admitted that's($35) an ok wage, but I wouldn't do it for less, which is quite likely what they will offer. Fair enough, but not enough, at least for me and most likely others.
Still, a good ad, and the effort to emphasize what they are willing to do to accommodate the right person is admirable. Im betting they will be successful in their search if they honor their offers.

I also am one to agree that the $80Gish for the OPP posting is low for what they are demanding, regardless of how great the pension plan is.
Job security? Maybe, but it's not like the government never makes cutbacks, so the scenario potentially exists where you could quite possibly inherit more workload from a position(s) that have been dissolved, with no pay increase. That happens all the time in government.

That position should be minimum $100G to start for a qualified, competent individual. The current offer is good for a quality AME.

I have to say, judging by your comments, you sound like the type who would be/is comfortable at $50Gish a/year, ACA'd, and are in possession of a limited sense of hah-hah.

Did you really think my "greedy" and the other "500-600G" comment were dead serious??

Oh...you did, didn't you?....
