Air North fleet?

Post by canuckjetsetter »

I was in YVR the other day and saw Air North's newly acquired -400 series... looking pretty sharp!

Anyways, I remember hearing they were supposed to be getting their hands on a -500 series at some point. Is this still true?

If so, would that make their jet fleet:

3x-200
1x-400
1x-500

Any insight would be appreciated!

The -500 will be online shortly. The 737 fleet is:

3 -200 (one gravel kit equipped combi)
1 -400
1 -500

Also 4 HS 748's

Congrat's to Air North!

Canadian North has it's first 737-300 with new paint and winglets just about ready to enter service. Nice to see the northern airlines progressing!

Congrats Air North. I remember flying with them when I worked in Inuvik. They only had HS748's back then.

There was also the B99 C-FRQI back then. It was rare to see it in Inuvik though.

I heard the other day 5T's -300 is causing some grief with getting TC certification..
They've actually been outsourcing some aircraft for a few flights cuz they were expecting the -300 online by now but isn't.

Anyone at 5T know what's going on with their recent purchase?

Sidebar.. Congrats to Air North on their new aquisition! And with winglets! Wonder why the -400 didn't receive the same treatment?

5T's -300 is close, last I heard the entertainment system was being completed and crews are being trained as their normal recurrent comes up. All crews will be trained on both. #2 -300 "expected" to be online by spring.

Any of the -500 folks apply for the Pacific Sky VIP Boeing position? viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69251

Pretty sweet part-time gig if one can manage to swing both! The right person wouldn't have to fly all of the other aircraft listed.
