PIlot Uniform Suppliers

Post by Flygal »

Just wondering where everyone orders their uniforms from?

I'm in YWG and am trying to find a good place to get my essentials. I've been going to MB Clthing. for some years now, and am getting sick of the staff  and horrendous prices. I've managed to track down an alternate source of Gold Star shirts, but have had no luck on the pants. I'm talking about the navy blue dress pants. There is no name brand nor any markings what so ever to indicate a possible google search. Can anyone shed some light as to who might make these pants and where else I can buy them?

Try any Men's clothing store. They all have navy blue dress pants.

Flygal,

We use a company called "VF Solutions", not sure if they have an outlet in YWG, one in YYZ and YUL for sure, they supply to not only airlines but many other groups requiring uniforms. Check them out on line. No idea about the prices, bill goes right to my employer.

Good luck

As far as I know YWG has nothing really to offer for 'off the rack' pilot uniforms. I had to make due for a few months while VF Imagewear had some distribution/manufacturing problems and I just went to Moores Mens Store and they had really nice identical pilot pants for $60.00 all in...

Well, for shirts I'd try Aviation World Online. Navy Blue dress pants, I'd try Mark's Work Warehouse (pants are pants)

Pants are pants. Get them wherever. I've found that most "company supplied" pants either don't fit ME well or need excessive tailoring... or both.

I bought my last dress pants (for work) at Reitmans.

Here's these guys. I just happened to be processing one of their invoices. UNISYNC Mississauga, Ont. phone 905-361-8989 or fax 905-361-1514 They have a bunch of other names as well, don't know why. YORK, Hammill, ShowroomOne. They are a very large uniform company in Canada. Don't know if they pilot stuff but they have uniforms for just about every other occupation out there.

I was driving west on Portage avenue and saw that there is a uniform place near the corner of Portage Avenue and Sherbrook (it's on the south side of portage avenue) next to a vespa dealership. Sorry I can't remember the name. They might be able to help you. That is too bad about MB clothing.... I used to go there all the time.

Pants at Tip Top Tailors, go see Ray at Polo Park. this may sound weird but at Kildonan place mall in YWG go to Dollarama. on the back wall in new packaging are Gold Star shirts for $5.00 ea. I couldn't believe it, so I bought every 15.5 short sleeve shirt they had. exact same shirt that sell at MB clothing for $22. as for epaulets go to any craft store buy some navy blue felt and then some gold ribbon. just glue the ribbon to the felt and viola. wings can be made out of cardboard, at Canadian tire you can buy spray paint the looks exactly like metal when dry. make your way to the YWG airport and just hang out at the tim hortons down stairs, keep looking at your watch and pretend to read a newspaper and you'll have to use a stick to keep the ladies away. don't forget the gas station $9.99 aviator style glasses and be sure to get a cell leather cell phone holder for your belt.

you'll fit right in!
