Anybody try this? This has got to be the best $130.00 ever spent. No gimmicks, you get what you put in. Nice and structured right down to the stuff i always skip out on in the gym like cardio, warm up and cool down stretching. Anybody looking for a structured program that is flexible (do it anywhere with minimal equipment) I highly suggest it. Anyways have a good one!

Re: P90X
I'm just starting it actually. How far along are you in it? I like it so far and I can see how you could get decent results if you stick with it. Since I travel a lot I opted for the high tension bands but they're not nearly as good as a proper chin up bar. Would anyone know of a good chin up bar that I could pack along with me on my travels (that doesn't damage the door frame!)?

I borrowed from a friend to try, it is no doubt highly effective, but I found it boring for my personal tastes and the instructors annoyed me. Again, that's a simple personal opinion, I can't really fault the program.

Very solid premise behind the training philosophy. Muscle confusion is an excellent technique to reaping greater benefits. That being said it means you sometimes need to be creative, or else you're stuck watching videos of over-exuberent models spouting nothing but cliches for an hour.
Mr. North, while chin-ups/pull-ups are excellent movements, I've never been fond of portable chin up bars. I would suggest looking at the TRX Suspension Trainer. It would be more portable, offer more workouts (and incorporate more core/stabilizers), and it won't break your nose if it lets go

+1 on Tony Horton being the most annoying guy ever. I am on my second time thru the program. To cut down on the annoyance I just select silence and cues, It mutes all the extra crap. I also throw on my IPOD which helps out. I use the bands when I try travel but lately my schedule has allowed me to do it at home with a proper chin up bar. +2 on the TRX suspension bands, those things are awesome. You get full range of motion plus you engage every stabilizing muscle you have. I guess I like it because the shit hole town I am in has a shitty gym that is over crowded and at -30 its hard to get motivated to go out for a run. You can also down load the whole set of DVD's for free of Pirate Bay if you are on a Budget!!. Anyways good luck with at least doing something, it beats just sitting in cockpit

If you don't have the will to go to a gym and workout - instead buying a workout program while watching tv - I doubt very much you'll see it thru to completion.
I've never known anyone who could workout for any length of time at home - ever. If that were true - gyms wouldn't exist.
Want to get shredded - ride a bike!!, and buy an ab roller for $19.00 .

We have a gym here, with basic equipment. After work, I get dressed and go there. The place is cold, and stinks. But when I start working out, things get better. I spend there between one and two hours every day, and after that, no desire for dinner. Losing 2 kilos a week is easy that way...
I cannot see how one can work out from home.
