Couldn't view the picture so I'm not sure which conversion you have the picture of. the Basler -67 conversion has been around for some time and last I looked at the Buffalo for sale/wanted page Joe was looking to purchase the S.A Airforce conversion and do the import. Does anyone know if this has the -67 also?

the basler 3 is a nice piece of kit however at 6m/copy Joe is in no hurry to switch over from his 250k dakota's. Actually avgas is more expensive, and harder to get.

Buffalo already has a DC3T sitting in their hangar in Red Deer. They have yet to get certification - so there it sits.

Is it taking extra time to certify because it's Joe's plane or is there something wierd about it?

I know Joe is probably trying to save some bucks and I understand but that Ken Borak plane looks like the way to go. I presume they did they conversion themselves. Yes?

Nope, we didn't do it ourselves. They are Basler conversions.

Before the PT6-67 was available, there was a 3 PT-6 turbine powered DC-3.

This one still exists though not in airworthy condition. Basler has it in their DC-3 airframe sorage area:

I wonder with the scarcity of AVGAS in the north if Buffalo will put PT-6s on the DC-4.

The R-2000 has been replaced by the PT-6 before. Maybe you could even use the same QECs.
