Hey all, just a few questions. When Nav Canada makes an offer for training (after passing both interviews), will they offer you one placement in the next course or do you have a set amount of time to make the decision? Are you able to delay until the following course begins or if you turn down the first course placement are you out of luck? The reason I ask is due to scheduling, I'm supposed to be working out East this summer/fall so the timing is less than ideal.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they offer you a px on a course and if you don't take it they phone the next guy that will. If you really want a job with them nothing should stop you.
Re: Questions on Nav Canada application process
My experience was pretty straight forward
"We're calling to offer you a position on the IFR Course at Sumspot starting on XX"
I said yes, they told me the process from there (will receive ITA and rest of welcome package - send forms back, get medical and background started as soon as possible)
When I was notified, I had 9 weeks to get prepared - you will probably get more time than that .. I think the ideal timeframe is 6 month. That might give you enough time to finish what you are doing and study/move for the course start date.
Good luck
