Dash .... I admit, you never fail to enthrall me with your writing style. You've written some of the funniest stuff that its been my pleasure to read here on AvCanada..... some real knee-slappers that have almost had me rolling on the floor with tears flowing uncontrollably.

In fairness to Dash, it was the Mulroney Con’s that opened the flood gate.
The Harper Con’s are making some much needed changes. The proposed reforms will reduce the number of parents and grandparents permitted to join their naturalised children once they have settled in Canada. Long overdue, IMHO. I’d like them to create a list of “no-visa” nations. (I can dream can't I)

so here's a quick question for people to ask themselves....

What type of tv show did you just watch?

Was it news?
Was is political commentary?
Was it entertainment?
was it political spin?

Contrary to what Fox North and that website may be portraying. Give me 20 minutes, google and the promise for a live TV interview on what your passionate about and I can find you ANY opinion you want. Interviewer dude starts the "chat" basically saying the system we have is top notch (thanks to Harper) and then introduces a lady with the name of her organization plus a ? as a caption. After a quick search I find that said organization is helping organize the anarchist book fair in Montreal this summer, who wants to take a guess how many people are actively involved in said organization? Who wants to guess how many of those same people will be actively involved in said organization 4 years from now once they have finished their undergrad?

From my interpretation of things, Fox North decided to run a spot. A researcher was tasked with finding a small poorly organized group of passionate people and get one of them (hopefully the one with the least public speaking experience) on TV. From there the interviewer was tasked with taking passive aggressive shots at her to throw her off kilter so she misses issuing any legitimate argument that she may (or may not have had.) The end result of all this is the majority of the stupid people who watched said tv spot will now associate arguments against current immigration policies with this lady/this "interview." Oh yes and Fox North gets to sell some more ad spots.
