With the exception of # 8 and maybe #6, I would say he is right. That is to say that it would be ideal. Never happen though. Too many people chasing the bigger and better plane. Unfortunatly if you reverse everything he said you would have rules that most pilots to live by to get ahead of the next guy.

Having your career handed to you by your daddy does nothing for your credibility. Your process is ALMOST as despicable as the buying of a PPC that you so seem to despise. You don't kick ass, you suck pole, and family pole at that. From those of us who actually worked to get what we have, I say 'Keep your easy progression to yourself". On a serious note, as stupid as working for free sounds, people do it! So it is not a bad idea to enforce 2 things:
1) DO NOT work for free. (that makes things worse for everyone at the
end and lowers "the bar")
2) Don't buy PPC's. Operators should pay for that. Haven't we spent enough???

Timing is everything.
Endless, it's not so much about the continual drivel that has been spewed by this degenerate for WAAAY too long now as it is about letting the new blood in this industry, who are slugging it out at the bottom end, know that the majority of us have more respect for the way they are going about their career than we have for some schmuck who had it all handed to them and are high and mighty about it.

You've been around as long as I have, and remember the old ladder forum and the friends 748ho was making even back then. None of this is new to us, but it might be new to others who are questioning their position and may getting frustrated at situations similar to what this arse is throwing in their faces. It is for them that I made the reply.
For all those who are out there on a ramp, sweeping hangars, loading a/c by hand or by forklift, you are the ones who are doing it right. Keep at it, and feel good about it. You don't need nepotism to make it in this industry, and when you finally make it, you have every right to feel good about it. Rock on!!
