Re: Westwind
Hello,
Still in the process of hiring for various positions. Some positions (ATR) have been filled but as the internal promoting takes place more entry level positions become available. As with any company internal references for employees often help candidates receive an interview and SIM evaluation. Hope that helps answer some questions.

Re: Westwind
just wonder how they usually contact the candidates?
by phone or email?
also mostly how they conduct the interview? face to face or over the phone first?
if people like me,applying without internal reference, is it like my chances at the company is very slim?
thanks a lot ,every one for answering my question.
cheers

Re: Westwind
Hello,
Contacted by phone in most cases.
Phone interview to start (if not near Saskatoon), then face to face with CP and HR, then SIM evaluation
Internal references are a plus but not required, many different factors and experience that we look for
Hope that helps.

Dear JW,
thanks for your reply,very informative
however contact by phone really concerns me as i will return to canada in aug but i don't have any contact no. in canada now. i am afraid they wont contact me since i dun have a contact no. for them.
i really wish they will still contact me regardless.
do u have any idea how many pilots they r gonna take? roughly how many pilots will be invited?
i am really concerned as i am out of the country as this moment.

Re: Westwind
Hi gang,
Has anyone heard from them at all? I applied for both the 200 and 1900 but have yet to hear anything.
Just wondering who, if anyone has.
I know its busy out there so this could be just that....people are busy

Re: Westwind
I wouldn't stress too much if you haven't heard anything yet. Unfortunately, WWA has a union to contend with. That means that every posting has to go through internal applications (even if there aren't many/any), wait for the posting period to end and then start screening/interviewing possible external hires. This will take some time.
Re: Westwind
anyone would have any news about the hiring situation now?
i remember one they said the closing date is on 31st of aug, have they started interview people yet?
thanks every one!!!

Re: Westwind
Phone interviews, in person interviews and sim evals have been occurring for selected candidates. West Wind will be continuing to contact individuals for various positions. Only those selected will be contacted.
Hope that helps.

Re: Westwind
thanks JW for response
wondering if the interviews were designated for all flight deck positions or just for certain fleet of the company? I remember the deadline for both kingair and B1900 have passed, wondering if they will do the selection together or one after another.
Once again, thanks for the most updated info.

Considering Applying... What other "dutys" do they expect from their F/O's?
