Great clip from an F-35 documentary.

Post by Osiris »

Clip of an interview with Pierre Sprey, largely responsible for the design of the F-16 and A-10, talking about the F-35. Before seeing this, I'd heard plenty of criticism of the JSF program with respect to cost over-runs and delays, political issues, etc... but never a reasonable explanation of why the aircraft itself might be a bad design. I don't know if he's 100% right (or unbiased), but he makes some great arguments. Apologies if this has been posted before, a search didn't turn anything up.

Some Emperors have to wait until they get frost bite on their nipples and nads, before they listen to the little boy telling them they are NAKED
They are similar in style to the masters of the two handed sword school ridiculed by one of the best swordsmen of all times.
Mushashi.

Very interesting how he has such a simple view of a complex subject. Thanks for posting that link.
