Thanks! Flyover @ NAPA 200 in Montreal
Hey,
I would just like to thank the men and women who made the flyover possible at yesterday's NAPA 200 at circuit Gilles Villeneuve yesterday. As a racing fan, it was truely spectacular.
They came from the West (I was sitting in the Senna Turn at the Western end of the track) and roared to the East. I thought that was cool by itself. Then they turned towards the south shore, came back around, flew over AGAIN, and once they were off the Western end of the track they pitched up to what seemed like at least 45 - 60 degrees (but what do I know...), "got in the gas" (as they would say in NASCAR), went up, thought they were going to do a "back flip" (sorry, I don't know anything about military terms or acrobatic terms either) but instead went nose down, spiralling towards the seaway and eventually disappeared from sight and I guess they went back to Bagotville.
So yeah... THANKS! It was cool. It was loud. It was amazing.

Glad you enjoyed it, although I had nothing to do with it. This your first NASCAR race?

Re: Thanks! Flyover @ NAPA 200 in Montreal
Yeah it was my first NASCAR race.
Been a huge Sprint Cup fan for 2-3 years now (always been a racing fan) but it was my first chance to go see a race and it was amazing even though it was Nationwide! So exciting! Even the other races were awesome (Canadian Tire series, Rolex series, and one more ... I think it was called Touring or something). Got to meet Danica Patrick and she is very cute in person, got an autograph from Jacques Villeneuve and I got Mike Wallace (the guy who got his hair pulled by a Carpentier pit crew guy) to sign a beer cooler holder of a naked girl lol! And how can I forget... met Ron Fellows as well!
I'll be going to see a Sprint Cup race (during the Chase yay!) in New Hampshire on September 25. Should be cool to see the "big boys".
Boogity!

Pretty sure that was Steven Wallace (Rusty's son) who got a yank in the wig. Hopefully Nascar will give the offender a word or two.

Steven Wallace shouldn't be driving a race car and wouldn't be if daddy hadn't started a team for him.
The wife and I have been to a few races, best one so far was the 50th Daytona 500. The fly by has always been an interesting pre race event. From A10s to B25s to the Blue Angels. I always make sure I'm in a good spot to see them.
