Hi all,
Hopefully this is an opportunity that interests a few of you here - please contact Philip directly at the email below for more information.
--------------------------
As part of our overall service to Airline and Corporate customers, World Air Ops provides Operational Assistance to aircraft operators around the globe. Our International Ops Centre (IOC) is on Queen St. East in downtown Toronto, and we have a number of opportunities for locally based people to join us for a period as Interns.
On a part-time basis, you'll join our operations team and learn about international flight operations - Trip planning, Route planning, Flight planning, Weather forecasting and interpretation, Air Traffic Control, and Operational decision-making. You'll also have a chance to get involved with our project team on longer term assignments like Delivery and Ferry Flights, Safety Reviews, Remote region operations, Route Reviews and a variety of Airline support projects.
You must have!
-A passion for aviation, and an interest in learning the operational side of the industry.
-A good knowledge of worldwide geography.
-An understanding of aviation terminology specific to the flight operations area.
-Be available at least a few days a week.
You might be already pursuing a CPL, an Aviation Degree, a Flight Dispatcher course, or just have an interest in this side of the Industry. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a live operational environment, learn how Flight Operations works behind the scenes, and potentially make some contacts to further your own career.
We anticipate some significant interest in this program. To allow us to manage the selection process efficiently, please send us a short email or letter outlining why this opportunity interests you, and what you hope to gain from spending time at our operation. We're looking for motivated, enthusiastic people with a strong interest in aviation.
Please make initial contact and communication through Philip Degare, using the email ioc.intern@worldairops.com. No phone calls please. We look forward to hearing from you!
