How long did it take you to get your instructor rating? Did you work on it full time? Part time?
I'm thinking VERY seriously about getting an instructor rating now.
Watch out! ISTP could be coming to an FTU near YOU!!

Waving the bullshit flag. Ever heard of CAR 421.69 that you claim to have contravened? All self study, logged about 5hrs in the plane with a instructor
So, you are claiming to have fraudulently padded your PTR for your class 4 instructor rating? Transport takes a very dim view of logbook fraud for licences and ratings upgrades, with very severe penalties. If Enforcement finds out who you are, you're toast. An applicant shall complete in aeroplanes a minimum of 30 hours of dual flight instruction

Nope, amazingly enough there is NO statute of limitations with respect to CARs contraventions. After one year, Transport isn't supposed to fine any money, but they have gone after pilots many years after the event with heavy licence suspensions.is there a time limit to enforce by Transport?
I heard that is correct as well. I heard a story about a guy who got his float rating illegally (due to not having insurance for the solo part of he rating), then eventually started teaching float ratings himself. Apparently once TC found out about this, he lost his seaplane rating and all of the students who trained with him lost theirs as well.Frank Uckër wrote:Nope, amazingly enough there is NO statute of limitations with respect to CARs contraventions. In the case where a licence or rating was fraudlently obtained on the basis of false logbook entries, they will revoke the licence or rating regardless of any time considerations.

Should have added, this wasn't in CanadaFrank Uckër wrote:Waving the bullshit flag. Ever heard of CAR 421.69 that you claim to have contravened? All self study, logged about 5hrs in the plane with a instructor

Quite a luxury, and not exactly typical, in addition to your perfect weather and aircraft availability.the class 1 that was doing my rating was working with only me, so he was able to devote his entire day to me

Ummmmmm..........isn't this pretty much the gist of what LLJ was getting at? Not sure what your point is but I think it's been made.straightpilot wrote:

Just like many class 3/4 instructors spend 100 hrs getting their students to PPL, not many class 1 instructors are organized, knowledgeable and skilled enough to create a new instructor in absolute minimum time.
A PPL in 45 hours is a rarity. So is a class 4 instructor in 4 weeks! Neither is very realistic.

Ok, I will try to be a lot less subtle. In my opinion, the majority of current class 1 instructors are not capable of creating a new class 4 instructor in 4 weeks, regardless of how much of a stud the student is.Not sure what your point is

OK, let me in turn try to be a lot less subtle. You've pretty much beaten this point to death now, in this thread, through your last four posts. Maybe time to move on and try something new, like picking the wings off flies maybe?straightpilot wrote:Ok, I will try to be a lot less subtle. Is that easier for you to understand?
