Canjet 757's ?
Have been hearing this on and off for awhile now. Any truth to this or is it just another carrot to keep the pilots from jumping ship?
Re: Canjet 757's ?
i work for them as a FA and i would believe it when i see it! i've been there almost 3 years and it is since day one that everybody talks about magical 757s!

Re: Canjet 757's ?
In the last couple months I have heard Canjet was going to get the following:
B757's
A310's (Hmm wonder where they would come from
)
A330's
Like wise I have heard Transat is getting the following:
B757
B767
B737NG
A319/320/321
A310 Freighter
I always say when I here new aircraft are coming, I will believe it when they roll up onto the ramp wearing the company colours.

Wouldn't believe it until you're past V1 with actual revenue PAX onboard.

Re: Canjet 757's ?
Actually. If you ask most of the pilots at CJ. They don't want it.
Re: Canjet 757's ?
There is a difference between not wanting it and not wanting to fly it...I don't think anyone of us "don't want it".
Re: Canjet 757's ?
When is it planned to arrive and what routes are you guys planing on doing with it?
Cheers
Cheers
Re: Canjet 757's ?
the routes that Transat won't do! lol
I'm just kidding...speculations, speculations... love it!!

Now thats the spirit jetpilot...the spirit that has made this whole industry shit!
As long as Air Transat has and maintians their min guranteed flying I don't know what they can say.
Transat needs CanJet to help keep costs down so they can be competitve in this saturated market. Loose that chip on your shoulder and try and be a team player here.

The problem we face now is massive layoff, The A310 wil not be replace and Canjet will Fly B757 summer 2013.
Now, do you think i go overboard?
There is a plan to replace the 310, sometime....wish it would happen tomorrow but it may be a bit longer till they are replaced. As far as CJ flying 757 in 2013, don't get worked up yet. There is a reason we got rid of our 757 fleet for the Atlantic some years ago and I don't think the travel side wants to see narrow body back on the Atlantic flying under the Transat banner.
Just curious where have you been hearing that TSC flying is going to be replaced by CJ with the 757?
We have meetings next week in YYZ and YUL please try to make it to a meeting, you will be able to find out what is happening and ask questions to those in the know.

Re: Canjet 757's ?
Haven't frequented this forum in sometime. CanJet 757's? Doubt that. They are a good NG operator but I don't think they would know the first thing about operating overseas. Hope they stay 737NG only.
Re: Canjet 757's ?
Hey Stick-Shaker,
Before passing judgement on the ability of CanJet pilots operating overseas, how about considering the pilots at CanJet. There are many ex Zoom, Skyservice and a mix of other pilots with 757, 767, 777 and 330 backgrounds. Just because CanJet has not had ETOPs and overseas experience doesn't mean that there isn't a wealth of experience among the pilot group.
Still doesn't mean that the 757's will appear, but if they do, they have experienced crews to operate them.

Re: Canjet 757's ?
Oceangal, I'm sure with the proper training it would all be a non event, but FYI, only the Americans refer to the Atlantic as the "pond"...these are also the same pilots,(not all mind you) that abuse 123.45 by blowing Kazoo's on New years eve, asking for football scores, and generally tying up the freq. with useless babble.
Re: Canjet 757's ?
Man, I'm no transat driver. But what's with the chip on the shoulder. You hate transat or work at Canjet? The fact that you actually sound like you want transat pilots layer off an aircraft brought to Canjet is amazing. Good attitude buddyjetpilot wrote:the crew will be from Air Transat layoff, do you start to understand now? the big news will be on 7....stay tune
If anything you will see more transat flying brought in house. Aka your outta a job at Canjet

I think jetpilot is a Transat driver who is worried about his job there or his colleagues jobs. Let's hope he is wrong. Good luck sounds like we will hear something this week.
