AC full time/part time options??

Post by AFLy »

Can anyone tell me if AC has a part time roster available at all.? To explain, the airline I work for overseas allows up to 5% of the pilot group to work a part time roster. This is worked out at double your standard days off per/month in return for half pay and annual leave. Also how many weeks annual leave is standard at AC. Thanks in advance for the info.

AFLy:

There is no part-time program at AC. In the past they have allowed Pilots to bid a reduced block month (about 1/2 time), or take a Leave of Absence (LOA) during an industry downturn.

2 WEEKS!! Is this standard in Canada? Our nations standard is 4 Weeks and pilots and FA's get 6 weeks.

AFLy:

Two weeks is the min standard for Canada. What you will get at AC is two weeks plus nine days of statutory holidays, for a total of 23 days. If you want you can string (bid) all 23 days in a row.
