737 combis
Can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as a 737-300, -400 or -500 combi? I used to fly -200 combis which could hold up to 7 pallets or 120 pax or any combination thereof. I have seen newer 737s with cargo doors but are they combis or freight only?
thanks

Re: 737 combis
A quick search on google brings up pictures of a b737-400 combi with Alaska Airlines and a russian on for "Donavia". Not sure how current these pics are but does seems like they do exist.
I hope this helps.

I have definitely seen them utilized by Alaskan Airlines and the USAF. So yes, they definitely exist, perhaps not in as great of numbers as I have seen the -200s though.

The 737 Classic series (3-4-5) can be operated in Combi configuration like the one seen with Alaska Airlines. The difference between the 200 series and the Classic is the moveable bulkhead in the 200's. The Classic has a fixed bulkhead. I think this due to the fire suppression requirements on newer aircraft, where the 200 series only has upper deck fire detection without the suppression.

Plus the -200 can carry the gravel kit whereas the 300+ cannot, making it a much more versatile northern aircraft. Love the ol' 200.
