external postings are for mgt to get the largest pool of candidates ''called capture" even though it will more than likely go to an internal candidate . the only problem as an external candidate, you never know that the job was filled internally// would be proper if the hr dept would say in the ad ' this position is posted internally and externally and has been filled internally ' takes 10 sec to type that and would not be as frustrating to the external candidates that apply . it may actually save the company some time and money by doing so, avoiding the follow up calls from the external candidates which take some time .

Actually, the company has been faced with a lot of turnover recently, and definitely needs to refresh its candidates list.

However, keewatin does have a solid record of putting 250 hr guys in the king air, and with all the turnover that they have faced in the last 6 months, it's quite possible that the Lear FOs have gone captain on the king airs and they don't have anyone to replace them.

If you want to build quality jet time, live in descent accommodations up north while on rotation, apply. The only downer is that you are always going to fly YFB-YOW, and occasionally YWG, so there isn't much variety.

Is there a bond, pay?. You can live anywhere when off with flight benefits? any interview/sim tips?

Yes there is a 2 year bond. Don't remember the cost, but it's relatively high. You will do your training down in Tuscon Arizona. Expect to honour the 2 year bond before going captain on the King Air. Plane flies a lot. The training cost is too high and the company doesn't want to continously train lear pilots.

Starting salary is $35000 a year plus a $40/day per diem while away from home, and there is a good benefit plan in place that is run through EIC.

Not a bad gig.
