New MEC Chair?

Post by Johnny Mapleleaf »

Just received a copy of a letter to all Air Canada pilots concerning Permanent Managers.

It is signed, Captain Jean-Marc Bélanger, MEC Chair.

When did this happen? Is there a message in his election, given his posture as MEC Chair in 1998?

Yes, the plan has now changed from securing pay, pension, scope, and scheduling gains to getting a new pair of shoes and two shirts even if we have to walk to get them!

Wildly inaccurate. Call a LEC representative and get them to explain the 98 gains.

Johnny, you must have missed the several newsletters put out over the past week regarding the appointment of the new MEC chair, his response letters to management and his newsletter thanking Gary for his time and efforts during his tenure. There were also newsletters earlier in the year stating that the MEC chair term ended in January and a replacement had to be made before April 1st as per the constitution.
