There seems to be enough idiocy (stupid ideas, advertisements, proposals, politics, etc., etc.) around North America nowadays to indicate stupidity is an international virus.

I saw a guest on TV recently talking about "shiny news"... seems the news networks are not interested in reporting the real stuff any more, only the material that will grab the attention of the masses and can be condensed into a 5-second sound or video bite.

Just look at CNN. Once they get their teeth into a "Big Story", the rest of the world seems to come to a grinding halt. And this used to be a respected news source.

Just a rant. Never mind!
