Recent Mount Royal Info

Post by drummer »

After searching the forums about MRU's aviation program I have a couple of questions for current students or recent grads

Can you be washed out of the program if you don't have enough training hours scheduled at the end of a semester
Also some of the threads have details of students being disciplined for little things

I'm interested in the program but some of the info I discovered in the threads on here is really concerning

Don't wanna share with the rest of us?! I am also considering MRU, but I hear some concerning things about the program, internal politics, cost etc.

I prefer to send PM's instead of just posting on this thread; I do not want the info to become flooded with other destructive comments and unfounded opinions, as I've seen the other Mount Royal threads go in a downwards spiral really fast.

I am just trying to provide just and fair information about Mount Royal. I have nothing to hide, as I do not have anything to lose nor to gain by discussing this topic. If you would like more info please PM me, but only if you want fair information, I am not interested in starting a comment/opinion war.

Hmmm, are you talking about something from years ago? The only negative comments I have noticed here about Mount Royal u have been mild complaining.
"It's expensive."
"A guy told me it's a lot of work." (That is almost an endorsement)
and "The planes are too new."

I know what you mean though. For every happy comment there will be several negative ones on nearly anything here.

That's exactly why!

I answered a few PMs already. Mostly from people that were in my situation a few years ago. I know when I was in that position I appreciated any info I could get at the time, I asked people around about Mount Royal and the Springbank Airport/Calgary area and thanked everyone that helped me.

bcherri also check your PMs
