Cat 3 and 4 Medical Requirements (vision)

Post by Jetlink »

Thinking of getting back into flying and finishing off my pilots license. Looking at either the Rec or Private and I am trying to find out what the medical requirements are, in particular the vision aspect as my vision is not a 100 percent. Dug through he CARs and think I came up with the requirements for the Cat 4 which is required for the Rec. One eye needs to be corrected/uncorrected to 20/30 and the other must be a least 20/200. Could not find out much about the Cat 3.

Can anyone in the know shed some light?

Thanks in advanced!

Here's a link to a table of everything (and more) you could ever want to know about medical requirements. (Vision is hear the end.)
