It isn't scary in an airplane with instruments, a good runway like that with lighting, etc. Could be in other conditions I guess... :P

Jesus Christ .... they broke through ,was a little bit left, and landed safely. This should be right up there with the Tenerife disaster.

Check out this near death experience. Terrifying.

Without seeing PFD to decide if he was in a low energy state, my understanding of the Airbus was that one should not hear "Retard". It was a reminder that the thrust levers were not at idle when they should be...
Rarely heard it when flying the 320, 330 or 340.

All Jazz CRJ's are equipped to land at 50 feet and 1/4 mile. Believe it or not all the CAT 111a landings are done by hand.
