It isn't scary in an airplane with instruments, a good runway like that with lighting, etc. Could be in other conditions I guess...Nark wrote:How is this scary?

Jesus Christ .... they broke through ,was a little bit left, and landed safely. This should be right up there with the Tenerife disaster.

Without seeing PFD to decide if he was in a low energy state, my understanding of the Airbus was that one should not hear "Retard". It was a reminder that the thrust levers were not at idle when they should be...

All Jazz CRJ's are equipped to land at 50 feet and 1/4 mile. Believe it or not all the CAT 111a landings are done by hand.
