Currently doing my reference/background checks and drug screening...no hints as to when the next course will start.

I'm also doing the reference check/drug screen, interview was in June. I hear Captains are flying together more because of the shortage of first officers. They did announce no more hiring for 2012, but who knows what might happen after the August bid.

Also did my interview/sim eval in June. Haven't heard as to whether or not they're still interviewing but last I checked, the posting was still on the careers page.

I spoke with a woman in HR a few days ago and she also told me that they were done for the year however she did say that there were rumours of hiring more after the August bid.

Hey guys, keep your hopes up, as it's been like this at Jazz for the last few years.

They hire guys run after August company wide bid and then it goes until spring time or so...and then everything stops until next Aug. bid.

So don't despair

October 15 course is full. From what I've heard, the planned November/December courses have been cancelled.

Ya that's what people said when I started...it took 3 years of bouncing on and off reserve before I got off the bottom of the list, and another 1.5 years to get to the middle! But hey...I now appreciate being middle of the list more than you'll ever know!

AC, WestJet, Sky, Porter, Canadian North are all hiring.... Jazz will have to hire more in the new year to replace those that leave.
