Kitfox Down in Nova Scotia

Post by Pavese »

News is reporting that an aircraft crashed after take-off from an airfield near New Germany Nova Scotia earlier today. Pilot exited on his own but flown to hospital with head injuries.

RCMP report the aircraft as an Ultralight but it has a C-F registration.

Advanced ultralights are registered as C-F or C-G

According to TP13155E the marks will be C-IXXX but digging deeper I see a reference that prior to 1997 AULAs had been registered as C-FXXX or C-GXXX, so it depends on the date of registration.

Not sure but if it is the plane I think it is then it's registered as an AB.

Wow! You can land a 'fox on a dime and get 8 cents change! Be interesting to see what happened here. Hope the pilot recovers quickly!
