Shoreside Restaurants in Nanaimo?
Any hints on a nice restaurant on the water in Nanaimo? Preferably overlooking a seaplane dock or marina? I'll be out in the later part of December on a house hunting mission.

This place meets both your requirements. I've eaten here on numerous over-nights in Nanaimo. Reviews are hit & miss but I've never had any issues.

I would walk down the waterfront to the Mexican place just south of there. Much better food.

I don't know Nanaimo that well, but if you make it up to comox, I like this place

This one in Campbell river is OK too...

In the summer time, this place has a nice pub deck overlooking the Campbell River Spit float base.

The Mexican place is closed for the winter. I second the Dingy Dock Pub...a short ferry ride to Protection Island...don't get run over by a seaplane.

Is the Dinghy Dock open year round now?

There are also a bunch of good spots if you walk up onto the main drag too!

I'm drooling. The menu at camp here has been: Overcooked rock hard chicken, undercooked bleeding chicken, tofu, weird greens mixed with flaming hot chili, rice based sugar deserts, mangos, or my personal favorite "Stagg Chili" imported by me from Canada
