Application Update Question

Post by Canada340 »

I placed my initial application to the 'Pilot' job posting mid last year and I have no problems updating my "general profile" but when I view my "current job submission" I'm not able to update my info on that. Now there's a several hundred hour discrepancy between my general profile and my current job submission. Am I missing someway to update my current submission, or should I remove my "current submission" (which i posted last year) and post a new one everytime I update my general profile?
Any advice from someone who's had some recent success would be greatly appreciated.

I think you can't update it because there currently is no application for the pilot posting. They took down the posting. It states on the website it says it will be up soon again. So I would imagine when its up again you will be able to apply for it and update your profile.

I was able to update my profile just last week. I just clicked on the link to update my profile that I received in the email when I initially applied.

I got the PFO back in the summer and am trying to get a second look, so I emailed the HR people who set up my first interviews and they said the new posting will be up soon.

Thanks for your input guys. I was looking at the job posting under "my submissions" and it says "Job Status: Active". So I figured the posting was still active. I guess when a new one comes out I'll be able to put in a new submission. Do I then need to delete my submission to the expired posting? Again I was able to update my "profile" easily but when I review my "Current job submission" I'm not able to change things under the "Prescreening Questions" section. Like the parts that say 0 to 2000 etc. But I guess again I'll just have to do it again to the new submission?
Where did you find the email address of the HR company? That might come in handy...
Thanks

The email address is of the person who contacted me to set up my first interview. It's not to be used to submit applications, and she probably doesn't want it out in a public domain.

Fair enough, wouldn't want to bother them anyways :) When you got called in for your interview how often were you updating your application? And did you always update both your "profile" and your "current job submission"? Or did yo always remove the "current" job submission and post a new one?

My call came out of the blue, and I had not updated my application in over a year. I'm glad they contacted me by email because I was no longer at the address I had on file. I got the email just after starting at Jazz, so I wonder if they can see new hires at Jazz somehow and then contact them. The chances of me randomly being invited for an interview at the same time as starting at Jazz was just too much of a coincidence.
