Skyservice PAX Create Forum

Post by TTail »

For any interested apparently there has been a forum created by the pax on the Skyservice flight that had the incident in Punta Cana recently. I'm sure I'm just opening up a portal to huge debate now! Kind of interesting to see what some of the pax are saying and also what some of them think. Of course some of it is just simply ridiculous (like a pax stating that her husband has flown a lot and has a pretty good idea of speed reference from the back and felt that they were going too fast).

Hey 'Mitch Cronin' it looks like you already found the forum and began stirring up some $hit in there! :smt018 Not a good idea as they will interpret one pilot's opinion as a representation of all pilots out there.

Oh and don't forget, they're reading EVERYTHING we type in here as well. Let's maintain that level of professionalism that we pilots have had bestowed upon us as goes with the nature of our professions.

That forum is great fun!!!

"Based on previous flights where I have sat at or right next to the window seat, this plane was descenting too fast, visibly faster than normal. There is no question about it. Why do you think both my girlfriend and myself braced for a hard landing. We wouldn't have braced ourselves if we thought the landing was going to be normal."

Someone give this guy a TV show, please!

Actually, Mitch posted some very good information on the site. However, his original post, identifying himself as an AME and establishing his specialist knowledge, was almost immediately deleted by the "moderator". After that, the other folks started sniping at him...

It's a shame that anyone with industry knowledge is being censored from posting, even when it is just to provide an explanation of the principles of flight.

Thanks CD.

...after that I popped the rest of my comments. No point saying anything if they'll censor to suit their needs. Theres a few that will listen. I think they know their lawsuit is ridiculous... the others... ? :?

I think it's the biggest trolling session on the net right now. All they want is $$$ and will say whatever they think will help them get it. Any case in court with any real merit wouldn't be splashed over the net. I've been there a few times and all the comments that aren't supportive are deleted....especially those with merit. The threads there have very little integrity, if any.

Anyone know where to find that kid that did a denial of service attack on us a ways back? It might be fun to give him a new target...... :finga:

Seriously though, was anyone even hurt by this landing? (By hurt I mean needed a doctor to give them more than an aspirin)

I posted there and asked if anyone had returned home early or had to seek medical assistance. After a few comments like " it didn't start to hurt until we got home " the post was deleted. I think one woman actually said her and her husband saw a doctor, but she also mentioned she had previous neck injuries.

Actually, there are a couple there today that haven't been zapped yet... Maybe they've had a rethink about that? ...or it could just be their resident censor hasn't had a chance to act yet I guess.

That Crystal is something else isn't she? She has her own ideas of what's what and that's all there is to it. No way she'll listen. Her husband said they were "on the wrong angle", so in her mind, that they were... She admits she doesn't fly often, but claims she's seen the worst of what turbulence can offer, 'cause someone told her so. .. now don't try tellin' her it can be worse! (I wanted to tell her about some folks who came back with some real injuries one day after a WD 47 met with some CAT... there were overhead bins damaged by people's heads on that one.... (and no lawsuits) but she wouldn't listen, why bother?

"please stop telling us it was a hard landing" ... :? Ok Crystal. :prayer: .... it was an easy landing then, ok? Sheesh.

That whole blurb is just a stock text that installs when you install the forum software (which incidentally is the same as used here), they just edited it a little to add the stuff about only the SSV pax being able to register, etc...

The whole thing looks like an amateurish money-grab/bitchfest. How sad.

PostPosted: Sat Jun 11, 2005 9:03 pm Post subject: Passenger Forum Disabled Reply with quote
Due to the fact that this Passenger Forum has turned into a giant name-calling contest between Passengers and Non-Passengers alike, this forum has been disabled for a few days.

In verifying whether members on this forum are truely passengers or not, I have found instances of people saying they were passengers yet when looking up their IP, you can clearly see they are coming from a network associated with the Airline industry.

The purpose of this board was to keep the passengers informed on the results of the investigation and what was being done about it. That is clearly not the case anymore.

so i just read through the pax forum, made me sick. It never fails to amaze me how quickly people are to judge pilots when something happens that is out of the ordinary. Nobody ever thanks the pilots for getting to thier destination safely or even early. All this fckin gripeing only occurs when something goes wrong.
frequent flyers who are not pilots are probably better at judging speed from the back that a pilot is, simply because the pilot is usually in the front.
This is an quote from said forum. Now does this make any sense to anyone  . How the fck do you hav a better idea of what is going on when you are in the back of the god damn plane. IT is laughable at best, this whole lawsuit is laughable. These pax that are sueing should be banned from ever flying again. Why, well cause of the sever case of trauma that they have suffered. But they did fly home. Must have still been in shock. And as for the lawyers that are actually taking this case... well thats for god to decide what to do with them. I know where id send them.

Sorry for the long rant, but i had to get this off my chest.

Didn't hear about the incident. Can someone direct me to the site or a quick reader's digest version of what happened?
