transport canada's work to service schedule slowdown

Post by whisair »

The last time I applied for a C/R it took Colleen (in the Vancouver office) about five minutes to go back and type one up. Now apparently it could take up to 60 days before I get one for the aircraft I just imported. This is crazy! Since when did we become a third world country? Now the aircraft has to sit in the hangar, the pilot on his hands while the customers go somewhere else! WTF is going on??

Is Colleen still working?

She can produce the same amount of work in one day that a whole region produces in a month.

Sh!t guys. Never talk out loud about the good people that work for TC. They either end up getting forced out or just plain old 'Disappeared'.

If Flaherty sticks to what is indicated in this excerpt from last weeks Macleans things are not going to improve anytime soon!
“Mr. Speaker, the Conservatives’ planned cuts will make travellers less safe in the air, on the water, or riding the rails,” Olivia Chow declared. “The minister has repeatedly ignored recommendations from the Transportation Safety Board. He just will not implement its recommendations. Conservatives are cutting Transport Canada’s budget by almost 30%. Canadians are travelling more than ever, so how can the minister possibly justify these drastic cuts to transportation safety?”

Oivia Chow campaigned tooth and nail to close CYTZ when she was a Toronto City councillor. In the fight of light against darkness, she's definitely on the side of darkness.

QFT! Super nice lady. Always willing to push something through. So rare these days. Hard working is right... The proof is that 90% of all documents I've seen have her signature on them. Almost like she is the only one in the office.

Pardon me for pointing this out, but this is an ad hominem statement. The issue of Transport Canada cutbacks and the issue of Torontonians' feelings about the island airport don't have anything to do with one another.

Colleen is still there, and had my last C of R in the mail the same day she got the paperwork.

Off topic, maybe, but not ad hominem. If I complained about her poor oral hygiene, now that would be ad hominem.

Regardless - Olivia Chow holds public office. Her politics are fair game.

Like so many disgruntled rants on avcanada, this one seems to be missing some pertinent information. So why bother commenting?
