North West Company
AGAIN? Don't even waste your time. The guy is a total knob! Went out of his way to blatantly lie to me about his position, then cut me off while I was on final to a northern reserve strip. Rude, dangerous and obnoxious! I don't make this up....I have six lawyer witnesses. This operation goes thought co-pilots like a hooker goes through lipstick. Give this one a pass kids. You will only be taught crappy airmanship by the master of same.
If they wanted some stability, they'd have the balls to replace the captain!

You would think someone in management over there would clue in. This has been going on for more than a decade.
Re: North West Company
It might be cheaper for reasons we are not 'aware' of for them to keep the capt and just keep replacing cojoesahramin wrote:You would think someone in management over there would clue in. This has been going on for more than a decade.

Re: North West Company
Last I heard was that they currently have 2 captains and are looking for a new F/O because the previous one just left to fly some big iron, after working there a couple of years.

So, then they must advertise every third month or so....because there's nothing good on TV?atmosphere wrote:Last I heard was that they currently have 2 captains and are looking for a new F/O because the previous one just left to fly some big iron, after working there a couple of years.

Re: North West Company
i'm just wondering, how can the cojoe log legally his time because both a/c are ''private registred aircraft''????????
Re: North West Company
Traveller the minimum crew requirements of an aircraft have nothing to do with whether it is registered private or commercial. The type certificate will specify minimum crew. As for "legally" logging time, you can log anything you want. If you later present these numbers to Transport Canada, an employer, an insurance company , etc you will have to determine if the time you logged counts towards their requirements. In the case of co-pilot time in a single pilot aircraft like the Conquest, last time I looked into it Transport Canada will count the co-pilot time as long as there are 2 crew SOPs in place and the ops manual specified 2 crew operation. I'm not sure if The Northern Store has retained their POC or not so you would have to ask them if they still have an ops manual and if it specifies 2 crew. Regardless, you would log the time and would have no trouble presenting it to employers and insurance companies.

Re: North West Company
why didn't you go over after landing and have a friendly word with the pilots and give them some friendly advice... that is also airman ship. airman ship does not end once your engines shut down...Doc wrote:AGAIN? So, now I'm the guy's mother? How would you react to unsolicited advice on your airmanship?bushhopper wrote:why didn't you go over after landing and have a friendly word with the pilots and give them some friendly advice... that is also airman ship. airman ship does not end once your engines shut down...Doc wrote:AGAIN? I can tell you how one South African doctor reacted to my unsolicited advice on his airmanship after he blasted my open hangar with his Cirrus.
Not that it mattered. The next thing he did was take position while I was short final.

Re: North West Company
Pie .... you're too close to the problem to see the real cause.
You brought it on yourself, and deserved that prop wash by having your hangar door open in an aviation environment. That makes you "fair game," because you should have known he was going flying and closed the door .... you should consider it a lesson in understanding the hazards present around any airport .....
At least that's what a pilot told me awhile back.
